Genocide is the deliberate killing of a group of people from a particular national, religious, or ethnic group with the goal of destroying that group.
It defies the imagination to use this term in the context of the Israel-Palestinian conflict. One need only consider the simple facts of the matter. The Palestinian Arab population has grown considerably since the founding of the State of Israel. In 1947, roughly 1.3 million Arabs lived in the British Mandate for Palestine. Today, nearly 7 million Palestinians live in the West Bank, Gaza, and Israel.
